Self-efficacy. Resilience. These are words that I am trying to create meaning for within myself. It is a slow gathering of information: external, internal, and experiential. I hope in the process of meaning making – in the act of taking in – to come to a place of transformation, or turning out. “[T]he etymology of the verb develop,” Norsworthy explains, “indicates that it means to release from that which envelops.” Transforming to transform. Or at least, to grow a little.
